Regardless of the location it is vulnerable to make an intervention on a site, but some places are more vulnerable than others. Götaplatsen, where the main element is the Gothenburg Art Museum, is a very valuable site-building. It is also one of the most monumental city-building projects of its era. Götaplatsen and Poseidon are not just a cultural and artistic hub, but also a symbol of Gothenburg. ”The entrance” fortify the entrance itself of the fund building at Götaplatsen. At the same time it blends without dominating the other surrounding buildings. In a mdern way the new glazed side buildings in this project articulate the entrance of the Art Museum (built 1923) with its severe and symmetrical facades. At the same time it also opens a gate to a new world underneath. The main starting point of this project is to be able to enjoy this historic site in a new way.
